Cretan Diet as an idea for A Model Restaurant
A research that began in 1960 concerning the alimentary habits of residents from regions all over the world showed that, Crete had fewer deaths caused from cancer and cardiovascular diseases. This was the consequence of the alimentary habits of Cretan people.
For the promotion of the Cretan diet from that era, the Team of Local Action develop “A Model of Restaurant” with the title: “Tastes of Psiloritis”.
These Model Restaurants aim to contribute in the creation of icons where reflect to the specialty of Cretan diet and the characteristics of traditional products of Crete.
